Terms of service.

1. Meet and Greet

For all new clients, I require a mandatory and complimentary meet and greet before commencing any service. This meeting ensures that everyone involved feels comfortable and that we’re a good fit for each other. Please allocate at least 15-30 minutes for this meeting, and ensure all pets are present (timid cats should not be forced to attend). You’ll receive a meet and greet checklist to review and prepare any questions you may have before we meet.

If follow-up visits are required before the start of service, additional fees may apply.

2. Client Responsibilities

  • Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate and complete information about your home, pets, and any specific care instructions. This includes medical conditions, behavioural issues, and emergency contacts.

  • Supplies: You are responsible for providing all necessary supplies for your pets, including food, medications, leashes, litter, and cleaning materials.

  • Home Access: You must provide a safe and accessible environment for me to perform my duties. This includes ensuring I have keys, access codes, or any other means of entry to your home.

  • Vaccinations: For the safety of your pets and others, I require proof of up-to-date vaccinations for all pets under my care.

3. Service Details

  • Scheduling: Services are scheduled based on mutual availability. I will make every effort to accommodate your requested times, but I cannot guarantee exact timing due to unforeseen circumstances or other client commitments.

  • Updates: I will provide regular updates (photos, videos, or messages) during my visits, as agreed upon with you.

  • Additional Tasks: Any additional tasks (e.g., pick up or drop off, extended yard cleanup, deep litter clean, extended plant care, housekeeping, etc.) must be agreed upon in advance and may incur extra fees.

4. Cancellations and Modifications

  • Cancellations: Please refer to my Payment and Refund Policy for details on cancellations and refunds.

  • Service Modifications: If you need to modify your service (e.g., extend or shorten the duration), please notify me as soon as possible. I will do my best to accommodate changes, but additional fees may apply.

5. Liability and Insurance

  • Pet Care: I will care for your pets to the best of my ability and follow all provided instructions. However, I cannot be held responsible for any injury, illness, or behavioural issues that may arise during my care.

  • Home Security: I will take all reasonable precautions to ensure the security of your home. However, I am not liable for any damage, theft, or loss that occurs due to circumstances beyond my control.

  • Emergency Situations: In the event of an emergency (e.g., pet illness, injury, or home damage), I will make every effort to contact you immediately. If I am unable to reach you, I reserve the right to make decisions in the best interest of your pet or property, including seeking veterinary care or contacting emergency services.

  • Insurance: I am fully insured through PROfur, which includes extended liability coverage for your peace of mind.

6. Payment Terms

  • Payment Due: Payment is due in full 7 days before the start of services.

  • Late Payments: If payment is not received by the due date, your booking may be canceled.

* Additional Fees: Additional fees may apply for last-minute bookings, holiday services, or extra tasks not included in the original agreement.

7. Privacy Policy

  • Confidentiality: I respect your privacy and will not share your personal information, home details, or pet information with third parties without your consent.

  • Photos and Updates: Any photos or updates shared with you are for your personal use only and should not be shared publicly without my permission.

8. Termination of Services

I reserve the right to terminate services at any time if:

  • I feel unsafe or uncomfortable in your home or around your pets.

  • Your pet poses a risk to my safety or the safety of others.

  • You provide false or misleading information about your home or pets.

In such cases, a refund will be provided for any unused portion of the service.
